Hola,

In English: http://proxima-sur-fotos.blogspot.com/2011/07/ngc-5139-details-of-processing.html

Participamos, Ezequiel Bellocchio, Andrés Vattuone, Leonardo Julio y Alejandro Tombolini

Saludos.
Alejandro.

Ghost nebula Sh2-136 in Cepheus
This picture was photographed on July 6-8, 2011 in the Crimea Ukraine) during the festival of amateur astronomy, "Southern Nights 2011" (height of 600 m above. sea level)
Good weather conditions, dark sky. FWHM from 1.4 to 1.9 arcsec.
Equipment: reflector S&D 254 mm. f/4.7 (New carbon tube), Mount WhiteSwan-180, camera QSI-583wsg, Tevevue Paracorr. Off-axis guidecamera Orion SSAG.
LRGB filter set Baader Planetarium. L: 20x600 sec., RGB: 10x600 sec. each filter, all unbinned.
Calibrated and processed using PixInsight 1.7. Just little final touch in Photoshop CS5.

Process workflow:
L channel:
Calibrate, star align, image integration using Linear Fit Clipping
Dynamic crop
DBE
Histogram transformation
HDRWT

RGB channels:
Calibrate, star align, image integration using Linear Fit Clipping
Combine  channels to RGB image
Dynamic crop
Background Neutralisation
Color calibration (manual, using data from eXcalibrator)
Histogram transformation

LRGB combination
SCNR
ACDNR

Finally, adjust levels in Photoshop (I have so far is more convenient)

This is the Nebula M27 cost. Vulpecula made on June 27 and on July 21/27/29. (2011) from the city center.
Telescope Takahashi FS128 f/8
CCD Apogee U8300
filters Optec
RGB 120' each channel bin2
Halpha 8nm 200' bin1
OIII 8nm 60' bin1

Calibration and Alignment made with PixInsight

Deconvolution with dynamic PSF only Ha and OIII

Combination with PixelMath: R_Hax8, V_OIIIx4, B_OIIIx3, linear fits,

DBE, RGBWS, BackgroundNeut. , ColCal, ATWT small scale for noise, histograms, HDRWT B3Spline 6 and  4 levels mask dering enabled, ACDNR,istogram, reduce stars with Morph.T, curves, ColorSaturation with a mask, LocalHistogramEqualization with mask.
It 's all.

The pelican in the Pelican (IC5070):

http://www.astrophotogallery.org/member-galleries/p7866-ic5070-pelican-nebula.html

2.8 hr LRGB
Scope: APM 130/780 f/6 LW CNC II
Mount: Takahashi EM-200 Temma2
Camera:SBIG ST-2000XM Astrodon Gen2
Location: Henry Coe State Park (SF Bay Area), California
Dates: 7/30/11, 8/2/11
Exposure: L:10x8min RGB:3x7x4min(2x2)
Acquisition S/W: CCDSoft v 5, TheSky6, ASCOMTemmaDriver
Processing S/W: PixInsight v 1.7, Photoshop CS2

Processing:
Calibration in PixInsight (Vicent Peris document)
Registration of calibrated lights with StarAlignment
Stacking with ImageIntegration
RGB:
ChannelCombination
Background Neutralization
Dynamic Crop
DBE
ColorCorrection
HistogramStretch plus HistogramTransformations (2)
L:
Dynamic Crop
MakedStretch plus Histogram Transformations (2)
Very slight CurvesTransformation
DynamicAlign with RGB
LRGBCombination
HDR Wavelet Transformation 4 levels only
ACDNR small scale (2,3) only
Extract Luminance and apply as mask for Saturation increase using
CurvesTransformation/Saturation for strong boost to stars
Invert mask and give very gentle saturation boost to H2 in Pelican
Take 16-bit tif to PS CS2 for final cleanup and printing:
Carboni 'make stars smaller'
Very gentle final curve with some raising of the background to survive jpg conversion
Some highpass filtering in high-SNR areas where the data supported it  (Tried AWT in PI
to accomplish the same goal but was unsuccessful - maybe next time).
Print & make jpg with sRGB profile
(Working toward doing everything in PI but not quite there yet).

Hope you like it.
