This cannot be reproduced on any platform with version 1.8.5 of PixInsight.
My only recommendation is to reset all PixInsight settings (Launch the application with the Ctrl key pressed), reboot your computer, then launch PixInsight again. On a Surface with Windows 10 installed and up-to-date, your graphics drivers should be correct, so checking this should not help. If the problem persists, I'd make a complete system reinstall to have a clean Windows installation.
If you have a running Apple machine, and hence a running macOS platform, why on Earth are you using PixInsight on Windows/Bootcamp?
