regarding events, there are two different ones needed IMO:

- Large events like IAC are needed for a greater public impact, as you are showing PI and processing to a large number of people.

Check!  ;)

PS: Just don't let it stop there, of course...

PS2: I came back to this thread looking to see how the StarProfilin/FWHM/etc stuff was going. Wrong thread I know... BTW, how is that going???

Exactly we can all do our bit by spreading the word at our local Astro Clubs. i already have two people trialling PI after my initial presentation 'Pretty Pictures from a backyard' last mohth  :D

We really need an event here in the UK - anybody up for it?

Hi

Personally I would also appreciate:

-Project capability (save the entire PI state to disk)
-Project capability (save the entire PI state to disk)
-Project capability (save the entire PI state to disk)

Documentation is a selling tool.
After 32 years working in IT i found out every customer wants to have documentation BUT
only a very few really read it and even those who read it a few really get profit...

By the way, i want to learn skiing - where can i download a documentation to become a racer in 3 month?

To get deep into this wonderful tool PI you have to exercise, exercise, exercise
and need project save so you can repeat what you have achieved and use what you
found put for future image processing.
