Panels stuck on primary monitor
« on: 2018 December 13 14:11:33 »
Currently I can't have the Pixinsight app running from a secondary monitor hooked up to my laptop. The second monitor is positioned above my laptop screen and the primary app can be dragged to the top monitor but all dialog boxes are locked into the primary monitor.

Noticed this is similar to a previous post from 2013: https://pixinsight.com/forum/index.php?topic=5710.msg39062#msg39062

Any known fixes for that?

I have side-by-side monitors and I can drag dialogs as well as the main window back and forward.

Correct, it works as expected for me too if the  monitors are side by side. It is if they are stacked that I have the problem.

Thanks! I actually am running the monitors in horizontal orientation one over the other though, not vertical.

Stacked in vertical mode does not mean the monitors are in vertical mode, it means they are stacked vertically one over the other.

Monitors which are able to work in vertical mode are not that common :-)

Have you tried in the display setting to drag the top monitor over the lower monitor ?

Well I thought it cloud help. IMHO

Correct, it works fine when one monitor is next to the other. The problem is when I drag one over the other that the problem arises. I have it dragged to the side now, which is weird when I want a panel to go to the secondary monitor since I have to drag it sideways instead of straight up.
