Problem with flat in BPP
« on: 2017 February 02 11:36:20 »
Hi, I have the following problem using batch pre processing with master flat:
it is not recognized by BPP and not applied to the final image.
You can see the master flat I used with statistics.
What is wrong ?
I also have a QHY163C and I use similar technique to make my master flat, no problem.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi, I may never know what was wrong with my flat, but I solved the issue by making new flats
exactly the same way, and they work, go figure.
Doing so, I learned a few things, master flat created by BPP with mean of 0.5 is overcorrecting my image a lot,
while 0.3 is better. I took two series of exposures for the flats, T shirt over scope on darkening sky.
Furthermore, I had better correction using RAW flats frames in BPP rather than the one it created.
Hope it will help someone.

I meant the Master flat made by BPP rather that "the one created by BPP"

Hi

Try use "add custom" for loading master flat.
