NGC 4565, The Needle Galaxy

Last August disaster struck as my mount died and had to be shipped to Italy for repair. Coupled with the fact that I'd been spending too much time trying to marry my Epsilon 180ed to the ASI6200, I got the feeling I needed to do something to get back to imaging instead of adjusting. So I went ahead and purchased a TOA-130nfb after some research. Finally in March everything was up again and as the season was quickly coming to an end here up north, I decided to have a shot at The Needle Galaxy. The target is a bit small for my FOV, but its placement in the sky was favourable and would be so for the rest of the season. I found some clear nights between the long periods with massive cloud cover that always follows a major upgrade and after 21hrs and 35min I decided to process this one and only image this season, hehe. Looking forward to seeing what this combo can do this fall.

Clear skies!
