Issues with binned images
« on: 2014 December 09 14:00:39 »
For the life of me I can't get my binned 2x2 and 1x1 to integrate. I have tried star Align with ha as the reference. I tried Dynamic Align.  The latter will combine the images but not resize the RGB to match the Ha. There is terrible field rotation difference between the Ha and RGB (this was my first RGB binned attempt and I didn't think about matching rotation).

Suggestions?

Your problem is wider FOV on a Ha image. It looks like you used a different scope for Ha acquisition.
First you have to manually resample your RGB images to match Ha image. Then do the StarAlign, and you are good to go.

Ok.
I'll try to resample the subs. It was the same camera and scope though.

Did you crop the RGB files?
As you can see there is are big difference in the FOV.

Yes. I must have. I re-ran the script and came out better.  I must have forgotten that I did a dynamic crop
