Problem with Image Registration and mirror flip
« on: 2013 November 07 19:05:09 »
I was processing some M27 photos this evening some on either side of a mirror flip. Image registration did not flip the images so when they were integrated there were two M27's. These images align perfectly in CCDStack. What am I doing wrong in PixInsight?

Did you do a star alignment between the ImageCalibration and the ImageIntegration?  It is critical that you do a StarAlignment in between (and, although not entirely necessary, its a good idea to do a DynamicCrop after the StarAlignment to get rid of the rough edges as well since they can affect the success of the ImageIntegration).

Hope that helps,

Jim
Really, are clear skies, low wind and no moon that much to ask for?
