Photometriccolorcalibration Plate Solve Not working
« on: 2017 October 01 15:15:34 »
Hi,

Decided to try the new photometriccolorcalibration but even thought it identifies lots of stars????  Suggestions.... FL =1400mm pixel size = 0.785

Are you sure the pixel size is only 0.785 micrometers? What camera are you using?

Hi,

I have found that under PCC ---> Plate Solving Parameters ---> Force plate solving-enable and also Ignore existing metadata-enable.  This seem to work for me.

I don't know what "app" is, but the solver requires the pixel size in micrometers.

andres, it's a common abbreviation for arcseconds per pixel

OOps, did not read the fine print.  Use arcsecs not actual pixel size.  I recall they were 5.4.  Duh, it worked with that number....

Thanks.  Working on Sh2 229.  Color on this will drive you bonkers.  Mostly red due to much HA but there is a blue reflection component.
