Please, does anyone know how to blur an image? I need something similar to Gaussian Blur of Photoshop.
(I'm trying to subtract - via PixelMath - a background model obtained from the master dark image but I'm not satisfied by the model generated by using DBE).

I have another question. With the aim to make a test with my images, I want to subtract a NOT drizzled image1 (as the master dark) from a drizzled image2 (as the final calibrated-integrated-drizzled image). Is it possible, or do I need to drizzle the image1?

You can try by using the Convolution.

Can also use AtrousWaveletTransform and delete several of the lower-order wavelets.

On your second question, if the two images are registered and of the same dimensions, subtraction should work (I think).

Please note that the AtrousWaveletTransform tool has been deprecated and will be removed in a future version. Although you can certainly use MultiscaleLinearTransform to remove small-scale transformation layers, the standard and preferred way to apply a low pass filter is the Convolution tool.

You can subtract any images with the PixelMath tool, even if their geometries are different. PixelMath resamples its operand images internally and automatically as necessary.
