Protect an image from being closed.

While processing an image, the desktop can get a bit messy with masks and supporting images etc. I start çlicking the 'X' to close unwanted images and in my haste I have çlosed my working image by mistake ....so I would like to be able to flag an image that cannot be closed by clicking the 'X' ... almost like the old 'write protect' of disks. To be clear, the image will still be updated/changed but not closed with the 'X'

I know I should be more careful.
