Hi everybody,

I've got good news for all Mac OS X PixInsight users. Today I've been able to build a usable 64-bit version of PixInsight on Mac OS X. Below is a screenshot.

On the screenshot, note the dimensions and size of the NGC 7331 image: 24000x24000 pixels and 6.4 GB!

There are still some problems, mainly screen drawing issues and a few cursor problems, but the application is 100% functional now. It is also compatible with both Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6) and Leopard (10.5). I think I'll manage to release a first 64-bit version for the Mac with the upcoming 1.6.1 release.

Whee! Finally! LOoking forward to trying it on my new i7 MacBook Pro with 8G RAM!

Thank you again for a wonderful product. Now I just need to show it to Ron W. without messing up too much...  :p
