Telescope: Esprit 80ED APO (f=400) with field flattener
Mount: HEQ5-R Pro
Camera: ZWO ASI2600C
Guiding: 9x50(f=180) scope; ASI120mini camera; PHD2
Capture software: APT
Location: Back yard, Wells, Somerset, UK

60 x 120s lights (dark x15, flat (Aurora EL) x 50)
Calibrated, integrated, drizzled and post-processed in Pixinsight.

This image was processed with the new PI version 1.8.8-8. It was slightly "rushed to press". One of the last post-processing actions was to run HDRMT to find more structure in the nebula, but (as usual), I wasn't aggressive enough with the following luminosity stretch. A simple (carefully adjusted non-linear) luminosity adjustment gives:

The stars are now slightly "running away" with the image, but I've never been able to make a star mask look natural when there are lots of tiny stars like this.
(BTW the bright star is xi cyg)

Hi Fred,
I am not aware that the fersion of PI 1.8.8-8 exists.
I stayed at version 1.8.8-7 of 12/17/2020.
