New FilterManager - Import

I installed today the new Pixinsight v18.9-2 Build 1601 and checked the new FilterManager.
First thing I noticed was that there is no import function to import filters which are not covered.
Consequently, SPPC has the import function removed.
Though I was able to compare the new filters.xpsd with the one I generated, adding the new supported cameras to my filters.xpsd, and after renaming the "original" filters.xpsd and copy my one to C:\Program Files\PixInsight\library, I had access again to my Camera/Filter combination.

However, I think an import function should be implemented (again) to add new or existing filters to the database.

Not filing this as a Bug Report, because I am assuming that was an oversight.

Cheers
Tom

Hi Tom,

The import tasks are available on the new FilterManager process:

Actually, FilterManager does exactly the same tasks previously implemented in the SPCC tool. However, filter management has changed because filter databases are now default platform properties, but the functionality is exactly the same. I'll describe the new filter management system today on the release information forum board.

Ok, the problem is 60cm in front of the notebook.
I missed to check the drop-down menu.
Worked as described in the tool tip.

Don't worry, similar things also happen when you are 19 hours in front of 4 screens, 3 servers and 8 workstations :ROFLMAO:

Well, I could be wrong, but the only way I think is, reset the filter database.

Cheers

I tried to merge a CSV file but when I went to the Input directory it didn't show the file.
Did the filter list show the new file? I think "merge" combines the new data with the rest of the file data and writes a new saved data file with all the data, including the new data (after which the CSV file you specified is no longer needed; the data has been "rolled into" the saved data (and reformatted in xspd format).

It was your CSV file, from another thread, for the Antlia Triband. I downloaded it to a folder and then opened Filter Manager. I tried both adding the CSV file and merging the CSV but, in both cases, it simply did not see the file. I have since then discovered that there is a selection for my filter but I don’t know I did this or if it was there before I started. I did something like this before, for the IDAS NBZ filter, but it put a selection in the QE Curve drop-down box of the SPCC (before there was a File Manager) but not in the filters. I have no idea if this was correct or not.

Allen, were you ever able to make the Antilia Triband .CSV work?
I have been trying to import it in filter manager and I am receiving this error message. "*** Error: Unable to determine a default luminance filter <* failed *>"

I have been searching the forums for a solution, but I haven't had any luck.
