links within forum not functioning

When I click a link within the forum, one with a message number at the end, I use to get the message to open. Now I just get the front page of the Forums...every time! Anybody know why? If that cannot be fixed, is there a way to search (or otherwise find) a given message by its assigned number?

unfortunately this is related to the forum software upgrade some time back. you need to copy the link, paste it to the browser address mode and then change "forum" to "forum.old". you'll be taken to the old forum but at least you can see the content.
