Keyhole Nebula with Bicolor Technique

One of my imaging partners Steve Mazlin used a technique whereby you use Ha and OIII but synthesize a green layer to produce a narrowband image. He came up with a very good result which I then used wavelets to bring out more detail. Details of the Bicolor technique are here: http://www.starrywonders.com/bicolortechniquenew.html

This is a dramatic improvement. Congratulations ;) Just as a minor suggestion, you may make use of one of the star shaping routines to make the stars more "gaussian", and colourful.

BTW, please, send my regards to Steve (and, with him, to Jim Misti). I met him at the ECCAI06 :)

Hi Jack,

A masterful application of wavelets. I agree with Carlos that some careful star shaping would make better an already wonderful image.

Keep'em coming ;)
