How to turn off Compression of Cosmetized Images

I don't see any way to turn off the compression of the cosmetized images. These are taking 110 seconds each to compress an xisf image. this for ASI6200MM images which are 62mb so each xisf is 233mb. To add insult to injury, they only compress to 198mb, hardly any improvement. And this is on a very fast Core I7-9750H processor (turbo 4.5ghz, 6/12 processors) with 32gb ram. Current M45 has 900 images, so the compression alone is taking 27 hours. This is a real problem for me. I have unchecked the "Swap File Compression" setting in Preferences. Makes no difference. These of course are not swap files.

swap file compression is different than XISF compression. check the XISF file handler in the format explorer tab on the left (double click XISF). check if compression is enabled there.

CosmeticCorrection doesn't seem to take any output format hints, otherwise you could specify no-compress-data there and it would override the setting in the file explorer.
