Hello . When I use Gradient Correction with the Structure protection option checked it always fails. When it is unchecked it works fine. Does anyone know what I should do?
If you select "generate protection masks" you will see what regions the process is trying to "protect" - often regions where the image is too bright to estimate a background (or, of course where the image is not background, and so should be protected). Then wind the "protection threshold" up in steps until the mask just allows the regions you want processed.
This is not a bug - it is just familiarisation with a new process.
No. But you have not yet discovered (by trial and error) a suitable setting of the "protection threshold" for your image. There is no "correct value", you need to experiment.
