Finally able to emerge from travel restrictions and get to my dark sky site--as expected the clouds didn't cooperate but I managed to get a few hours.

It seems that NGC 5054 is not part of the galaxy group around the large elliptical galaxy NGC 5044. However, at some time in the past, NGC 5054 passed right through the group.
