Error in LinearPatternSubtraction script since 1.8.8.8 update

There seems to be error since 1.8.8.8 update in LinearPatternSubtraction script, Under OS X and under Win10
Some colleagues get same error

This script was working like a charm in 1.8.8.7 with these exact settings (for example)

This error is still active in the 1.8.8.9
No possibility to get it corrected ? I use this script very often and it becomes an issue to cannot be able to use it

I'm now updated to 1.8.9 (thank you for such great updates!) but I am still running into this Script-stopping error.

In fact, I found a working turnaround : create an empty TXT file you will select for defect file correction.
this is working like before in global mode (see my 1st screen copy)
