Dedicated MARS Website Section / MARS Data Upload System

I am on the latest build ( 1593 ) although the Solver is indeed faster it still goes though a large number of "iterations" it would be good to reduce this time or the number of iterations

Hi Juan,

I am currently uploading 9 files, each covering about 18x18° parts of the northern winter sky.

Do we get some form of information whether our data is accepted?

Is there anything new on this topic in general and specifically about my question in the last post?

Hi,

We are reviewing all the images we are receiving. I already checked yours and they are indeed very helpful for us because they cover wide fields on the Milky Way.

We are now working on the automatic implementation of the MARS-u processing pipeline, we will be announcing its status as soon as we have updated coverage maps.

Thank you!
Vicent.

Where is the recommended place to put the mars files in Pixinsight directory? I saw a video on youtube a guy said where to put the files in the Pixinsight Directory but I can't locate it again.

Put them wherever you like on your computer... except in the PI program folder tree.

Howdy! I get the following Javascript error when attempting to upload data on M31.

This is Firefox 133.0.3 installed on Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS (installed via Snap). All of Firefox's privacy settings have been disabled for the upload site.

Chrome seems to proceed further. However, it receives a HTTP 413 (content too large). This is understandable, and of course I can re-integrate with 1x drizzle to get around this. But you may want to update the `Requirements of User-Contributed MARS Data` section to call out any size limitations.

Hi,

Over the past few months I have tried several times to upload files with the MARS upload system but it never worked.
I have exactly the same errors as @chris.henderson in the message above (the Network error with firefox and the HTTP 413 with Microsoft Edge).

My files are about 1.5 GiB each and I have tried sending them in batches (with a total size less than 10 GiB) or individually with the same errors each time.

Strange.

I have uploaded a bunch of files just two weeks ago, and it worked perfectly.

System was: windows 11 pro, chrome new west version.

Maybe this helps narrowing it down.
