Hi,

I just wrote an article with Juan about the new PhotometricColorCalibration tool. You can read it following the link below:

https://pixinsight.com/tutorials/PCC/index.html

The article is focused on our philosophy of color and how it is applied in the tool, along with a description of the specific features of PCC. Finally we give some usage advices for you to apply correctly the tool and to help you to solve any possible pitfall.

We hope this article will be helpful for you.
Enjoy!
Vicent.

This is an excellent article Vicent. A really clear explanation of the way in which PCC works. Nice examples also.

liking that a lot - just tried it with an Iris Nebula set of data I've just started working on - easy to run and gives a better result than BN and CC did.

One small request though, would it be possible to have an option to output the background reference mask, like CC has, so that you can check that your upper limit for background was a good choice ?  (It would be nice if BN had the same option to output the mask too)

Cheers
