An excellent article about dark current, amp glow, capturing of dark frames, preparation of a MasterDark, and a correct approach to calibrating light frames, considering the specific characteristics of CMOS sensors was written by Alessio Beltrame. I warmly recommend this document (additionally to my guide) to all PixInsight users who are interested in details about CMOS sensors that are important for understanding how to correctly perform image calibration.
