Best possible result with a minimum of Data
« on: 2012 May 01 12:32:54 »
Hi friends,

I have gathered some data of M51 and I tried to process it to see what is possible with a small amount of data without calibration files.
I still struggle with Noise Reduction one of the main problems of my result.
To see what people are able do with my data I uploaded it to http://endor.uv.es; pathway Lex/M51 LRGB fits.

I am kind of curious to see the results with the different processing approaches.

Hereafter is my result; not really compromising IMO  >:(

Feel free  ^-^

Thanks

BTW,

by this way I also hope to harvest more know how in terms of processing; without asking I think I stay stuck in my momentary "do not know how to"  :-\

Thanks in advance!

Hi again,

apparently no happy processing with the links I've posted  >:D
I already deleted a previous post because the sharing of the files on the server didn't work.
I had the same when I wanted to download Sedat's files; at this time I did not yet have an account on the File Server.
Also had the same a previous time I wanted to download some other processing challenge?!
Don't know what's going wrong??

Will have another try when back home..

sooooorrryy  :surprised:
Clear Skies!!

Hi Lex, I could download your images, not from the link, but if login Endor there is no problem.

Regards, Alejandro.

You are no doubt correct, Alejandro, but I can't seem to figure out how to navigate PI Files. I can log in and see my own files, but how do I download the files for this message? Will someone nudge me in the right direction?

That's what i thought also, I am able to navigate and download on the server but I am unable to share a file via link that works?  ???
Does it have a relation with the browser used for?

I finally dove in and didn't come up for air until I could meander around through the files. I didn't have any trouble downloading using the usual Window incantations, though. This time around, anyway. So I now will see what I can do with the M51-minimal files and report back.

Metaphor...

I may need guidance accessing the files... perhaps not now that I have signed up for access to repository.
