Amazing image Rick. Can you explain how you mixed the filters?

Amazing image Rick. Can you explain how you mixed the filters?

Thanks, Albert.

I created a Hubble Palette tone map (remove stars from Ha, Oiii, Sii linear masters; LinearFit Oiii and Sii to match Ha; LRGBCombine S=R, H=G, O=B) and a conventional RGB with stars (LRGBCombine, BackgroundNeutralization, ColorCalibration) then I blended the two images with PixelMath ("a*NB+b*RGB" where a+b=1.  I can't remember what the final values were but I would have started with a=0.5 and b=0.5 and tweaked them until I was happy.)  After that I processed the blended colour image as normal (denoise, HT stretch, etc. and finally combine with a synthetic luminance derived from a noise weighted integration of the NB and colour masters.)

This wasn't my original plan.  Combining the NB and RGB colour was an experiment that just happened to produce a result I really liked.

Cheers,
Rick.
