Looks like a weird bug in the tool. Here is the warning I got when I did your steps. Yes while it did delete the preview and resize the main image to the preview I was able to just undo the last step and return to the original with the preview. A warning would be nice before not after 8)

I wonder if this is more of an Intel type relationship issue but like Andres was saying QT, driver, PI. I run an older AMD based computer, No Intel Inside, no built in graphics on the motherboard or CPU and have never seen any of these issues. I also have only run Nvidia graphics cards. The computer that I use is also heavily multitasking while running PI doing other multimedia/web/HTPC stuff. Not a pristine, one use computer by any means.

General / Re: Can't StarAlign NB subframes

First I reset StarAlign to make sure any old settings were gone. Then using the 'Clear' as the reference image I only changed the Noise Reduction setting from 0 to 1. The Ha image aligned without issue.

Just to keep things correct, QT is not QuickTime.

Thanks for reply. The ambient light sensor was one of the aspects I liked. Cropping is not a problem as I already have a set of my images cropped for 16x9 displays.

I've always wanted a large digital picture frame to display astro images along with standard. The Meural Canvas is the first frame I've seen in a size and price that seems makes since. I was just wondering if anyone here has seen or has one? Seems like a great way to enjoy your hard PI work.

Global Preferences and Misc Processing Settings. You can set the number of lines and even set it to unlimited. Hover the mouse for documentation.

I think that will be the file of interest but Juan needs to answer on that.

Of course now the question is will it happen again at some point?

Juan,

Is the PixInsight.ini in \AppData\Roaming\Pleiades\ the only file that changes when someone does a reset? Maybe someone who still has the problem could save that file for you to examine before they reset.

My main computer uses an old 6 core AMD processor that only uses one thread per core. I have 2 SSD's in the system. This is the swap configuration that works the best for me. You can hover the mouse over the directory configuration section for more information. There are a lot of older postings about swap configurations and the benchmark script also.

Are you looking under the right user? Are you logged in as your normal user and do you have admin rights? Here is what the path and the folder looks like for my computers. You could try creating the folder and then coping the license file into the folder. I would not copy the .ini file from another computer as that has specific path information based on the computer that created it. That info could be different.
