Hello Mike,

If we are to apply LN to the data, we can use MureDeNoise on the individual subframes right after calibration, prior to registration, LN and stacking, can't we ?

I can imagine that this would be a very time consuming processing but if this is the only way to get the best out of the data at hand, I think we can all bear with it.

How well CosmeticCorrection plays with Mure Denoise? Should we eliminate this step if we know we gonna use MD ?

Hello Mike,

Thanks for the update.

Just wanted to make sure one point; are we still entering the detector data like the gain and the gaussian noise, or is the script getting those from the image somehow ?

Cheers

Thank you Juan! I was expecting this response :) LN is magical when composing mosaics and these days I'm into more mosaics then I can handle. I'll take my time and do the job manually.

Excellent upgrade to this very useful tool! Thanks a lot!

Would it be possible to integrate LocalNormalization to the script ? One could prepare the reference frame before starting the script, just like we are preparing the CosmeticCorrection process icon.

Thanks for all the time and effort you put into this script. I've just installed it and hope to use it soon on my huge back log of targets.

Clear skies

Is there a way to keep installed scripts in place when we update to a new version ? Upto now, I had to re-install all the scripts from scratch. Maybe I'm doing something wrong ?

Additionally, I am not able to connect with https://www.skypixels.com/HVB_Repository/ nor with http://www.skypixels.com/HVB_Repository/ .

I figured this one out... www.skypixels.com is no longer valid.... www.skypixels.at should be used

Good morning Juan,

Well, switching between two images now works by pressing Ctrl + Right arrow instead of the traditional Ctrl + Page Down. I can get used to this if this is how it will be from now on but wanted to let you know

Additionally, I am not able to connect with https://www.skypixels.com/HVB_Repository/ nor with http://www.skypixels.com/HVB_Repository/ .

Johh my problem is sorted out now, thank you. The first download was corrupt which was the reason behind my problem. I think last night's heavy download traffic is the culprit.

Hi Sedat,

I am glad to know 1.8.6 is finally working for you.

That error message denotes a problem with the SSL certificate installed on the www.skypixels.at website. This does not mean that the certificate is incorrect necessarily, just that there are some discrepancies such as mismatched server names or certificate subjects. That's why one should always use EV (Extended Validation) certificates for websites.

You can disable secure connections for this repository, that is, specify http:// instead of https://, and it should work. Insecure connections are not advisable these days but in this way you'll be able to download updates from this website.

Thank you Juan! Another excellent response. I'm all set now. Cheers!
