Wish List / Re: WebView
« on: 2019 February 15 21:52:41 »
Hi Juan,

I understand.
For my latest script I looked for a workaround. I convert my pdf into a collection of jpeg images, put them into a file and display each with a Frame control. Works excellent.

Thank you

Wish List / WebView
« on: 2019 February 13 10:35:01 »
Hi,

WebView works nice with HTML content. When I try to load a pdf, nothing happens. No view, no error.
Is there a trick to convince this control to act like a browser?

Thank you

Wish List / Re: SIP
« on: 2019 January 09 10:27:00 »
Hello Andres,

thanks for your fast answer.
Well, can you provide me a good document, which describes the math? The transformation from image coordinates to celestial coorninates is not the problem. The follow up correction with the splines (*.csv) is currently out of my focus.

Best regards

Hartmut

Wish List / SIP

Dear,

on my wishlist is the storage of the SIP (Simple Imaging Polynomial) polynoms in the FITS header after plate solving.

Thank you

General / Re: RGB star color preservation with NB
« on: 2018 July 09 01:20:57 »
You may check out my script "EmissionLineIntegration.js", which can be found on Herbert's page:  https://www.skypixels.at/pixinsight_scripts.html
EmissionLineIntegration tries to remove unwanted frequencies from the NB and adds the emission line intensities to the channels. Play with contingents and leave Mue correction unchanged.

Bug Reports / TypeDescription object
« on: 2018 May 12 10:39:04 »
Hello,

I come with a little Problem, which makes a complete Object reference documentation impossible.

The TypeDescription object produces errors on instance properties:

   - isExternalObject (is not defined)
   - staticProperties (produces the same array as properties)

Who can help.

OK, I must accept, that my repository is not a big help for Linux- and iOS users. Sorry.
The .zip content file works well with Win 7 & 10 but can not open under those exotic operating systems (my version and sorry again). So, either you folks change the OS (ha, ha) or I need a doable solution for the creation of that file. I'm using .net with compression class.

Thanks. Hartmut

Hi Warren,

thanks for looking and your motivating comment. As you may believe, there are much more lines (of code) in the pipeline and Herbert is hosting them on his beautiful site. My latest one performs NB-integration in a new way. The magic behind ist a method of continuum subtraction. As soon as I see enough approval from the field, this script can be published here.

PCL and PJSR Development / Launch process icon from script
« on: 2017 December 06 04:45:57 »
Hi All,

my question to scripting: is it possible to load a process icon file into workspace?

I've tried to launch the icon (*.xpsm) using

      let P = new ExternalProcess();
      P.start(filename);

The process returned 0, but nothing happened. I also checked this way with a txt-file witout success. Merely exe-files execute instantly.

When I execute process.start("c:\\...\\myIcon.xpms") in a Windows program, the icon pops up in PI.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

Hartmut

scripting is not as easy, as it often sounds.. ;)

Dear Mike,

well, that looks similar to my script, I've written and published last year.
My proposal deals with the STF process. STF schould perform the steps STF, apply to histogram, deactivate and apply histogram to view in one cycle.

Hartmut
