General / Re: Suppress rejected subs data in SFS?

Perhaps output choosen subframe, close SFS and re-open it with newly weighted subs ?

It works well, thanks :)

Tried 128 et 8 size stride. The last one was very time consuming  :sealed: ;D ;D

I've re-read the instructions written in the stand-alone version to remember what "stride" meant
Perhaps add those instructions in the readme file of the pi version ;)

Good job :) and thank you

Very nice, more subtle and pleasant result than mine. Definitely, I am not a planetary processor by any stretch of the imagination :)

You have applied restoration and deconvolution in unconventional ways, guessing a PSF by trial-error work. Despite that, the result is nice and plausible visually, and of course not more 'by eye' than an arbitrary multiscale transformation. Nice work.

Here is the result of my median-wavelet transform with the correct color balance:

Compared to yours, my version is definitely in the firing line. That's what happens when somebody trained to process deep-sky data dares playing with planets!  :cheesy:

Thanks :)
Of course, I tried many parameters to achieve a good result using RestorationFilter wich is the main process.
Deconvolution or MMT are not so good for me

Hi,

I personnally use Pixinsight just after AS!3
I didn't knew how to align channel but thanks Juan, here I used Registax but you can tick the right case in AS!3 for a good result too

(some grammatical errors could appear, english is not my native language)

-channel alignment Registax
-Restoration filter
-Deconvolution
-TGVDenoise
-Color calibration
-Saturation etc...

So did you use Registax in addition to PixInsight?

No, I only use Registax as a fast way to align rgb channels. I very dislike this software.

Don't forget the "RGB align" option in Autostakkert

Bug Reports / Re: Translucent frames
« on: 2019 May 10 01:29:03 »
Solved !

The guilty was'nt the Intel Graphics Driver newly installed but the Nvidia Graphics Driver, also newly updated.

Connecting my screen on the DVI plug managed by the Intel driver make the frame visible again.
Note that "translucent" parameter doesn't work with the graph frame of SubframeSelector. With file list and formula frame, it's ok but with the graphical one, clicking/moving the frame does'nt change anything.

Finally, problem with MSI GTX970 Gaming 4G graphic card and Nvidia Graphic driver v430.39

Bad idea, nothing changed uninstalling Intel graphics driver

I just have an idea.

I've installed the Intel HD4600 graphics driver (core I5 4690K) but I use an MSI GTX970 graphics card.
Almost sure this is the problem. I will check this soon

Some news:

a fresh installation (CTRL+Left mouse button) has changed nothing

Great, thank you for this first advice.

But, I've seen the 'Translucency' menu item, have disabled it and I don't see any difference

I have all my processes with Translucency mode ON and no problem. I see correctly the difference when I activate/deactivate it.

Do I need to restart Pixinsight ? I don't think so.

For this two particular frames, it's far more translucent and I hope you are able to see it on my capture screen :)

Bug Reports / Translucent frames
« on: 2019 May 06 03:48:56 »

Hi all :)

Does anyone know what happened to my SubframeSelector and PhotometricColorCalibration processes ?
All worked fine but suddenly, the graph's frames appeared much more translucent, too much for an easy read.

I don't know wich parameter should I change or what way should I go.

Many thanks

Hi

All of this seems familiar for me as I had the same questions during last months :)

I'm using an app on my galaxy tab3 to produce a pink screen that is very useful for acquire flats.
All three channels are then equals.
Today I'm using iso 100 as I've recently learned that 1 100-iso-flat = 8 800-iso-flats

Last thing, be careful not using bayer drizzle (=cfa enabled) with scale=2 and drop shrink=0.9
Use scale=1 and drop shrink=1
;)

General / Re: DSLR-Raw option format Help Please
« on: 2019 February 04 09:37:59 »
Hi

As we always work with raw data at the preprocessing step (for astro work), "pure raw" is the good option and it's normal to see your pictures in grayscale.

I think so, that's what I expect using this method to combine with my bayerDrizzle color picture

Hi,

many of my contacts use a pedestal in imageIntegration with their asi 1600 camera (juste above "masterbias")

You can try 800DN to start.
