Bug Reports / Re: Latest version - default to full screen
« on: 2019 June 17 17:00:53 »
Same problem here.
NUC Intel 7i3BNK, 8Gb memory, SSD disk, latest drivers (just cheked with intel), Windows 10 up to date (just checked), and the same empty screen except that mine is white on white.
I reinstalled previous version, 1457, and now I have de same problem but it was not present before when running this version before installing 1473-5.
Why PI was working with v 1453 and after installing 1473 and also after going back to 1457 this problem exists?

Bug Reports / Re: Pixinsight 'hangs' on Splash Screen

Sorry, I forgot to mention that this happens only with the first start of PI.
If I do not turn off the PC, a second PI start is fast.

Same problem in my PC, in my notebook and in my NUC.
I talked to a friend and he says he is having the same problem.
AV installed and up to date, programs running in the background in a minimum, nothing special, W10 latest version, same for PI, disk defraged, etc, etc,  and this did not happened until the last or the one before last PI version.

Bug Reports / Re: Pixinsight 1.8.5 High-dpi support for Win 10

The screen capture was from my PC, not my notebook since the only poorpuse was to show that info.

From my notebook is almost unreadable.

I will adjust the font settings and let you know,

Attached a screen capture regarding PI High-DPI info that it is shown by putting the mouse over the option.
My screen resolution is 3200 x 1800
I tried both, Maximize at startup and Full screen at start up.
As I said begore, ver 1,8,4 was working fine.

After installing the new versión 1.8.5 I noticed that it is not supporting high resolution display in Windows.
In my 13-inches high resolution display there is no way I can use this versión.
Where can I get the previous version 1.8.4? I do not see it in the download section.
I need to go back to that versión so I can use PI in my notebook.

Thank you Rob for your tip.
I did a PI reset and the script is running OK now, no errors.

Thanks Juan

I am running the script directly from the main menu:

Script --> Batch Processing --> SubframeSelector

Should I reinstall PI?

Thanks Juan

Bug Reports / SubFrameSelector error
« on: 2015 December 09 11:14:15 »
PI, Win 7

When trying to execute script SubFrameSelector it gives the following error:

Processing script file: C:/Program Files/PixInsight/src/scripts/mschuster/SubframeSelector/SubframeSelector.js
*** Error [000]: C:/Program Files/PixInsight/src/scripts/mschuster/SubframeSelector/SubframeSelector.js, line 249: Error: File.extractName(): invalid argument type: String expected.

Before installing this version I could use this script with no problems.

The same here Juan, uninstalling Dell Backup and Recovery seems to have fixed my issue.

No luck with the procedure recomended by Juan Conejero.

As I mentioned a few messages ago, I also have problems running PI 1.8.4 in my notebook (high resolution screen)

I tried the following:
- Replace de Pixinsight/bin files in accordance with Juan Conejero's instructions
- Updated all my notebook's drivers
- Tried it with Win 8.1 and Win 10

but the problem is still there.

Hopefully the new release will solve this problem.

On Dell XPS 13" Win10 with this same problem I deleted last versión, installed V1.8.03.1123 and  this fixed the error when openning a file but icons are so small on high resolution screen that it is unusable.
