No, I can set View->Full Desktop and drag the main window across the two monitors so that the main window fills both monitors, but as soon as I let go of the mouse it only shows up on one monitor. I can have pop-up windows for processes showing up on the second monitor, but I can't have two image windows one on one monitor and one on another.

Nobody has any input on this question? Does Pixinsight just not support going across multiple monitors on Mac OS X?

General / Multiple Monitor Support for Mac OS X

I am running Pixinsight v1.8 on a Mac Pro (running Mac OS 10.14.6 Mojave) with two 27" monitors. However, I cannot get Pixinsight to stretch across both monitors. Is this functionality not supported in Pixinsight for Mac OS or is there a trick to get this to happen?

Thanks,
Kerry

Well I tried the Pixelmath painting lines technique. But after several tries I decided to use DynamicCrop instead.

The process discussed in the thread: https://pixinsight.com/forum/index.php?topic=8342.0, requires you to have at least one registered image that does not contain a satellite trail in the region of question. Believe it or not, I have 51 individual luminance frames making up this image, and not a single frame is devoid of at least two satellite trails along the "satellite superhighway".

All,

I am not having that great of results using ImageIntegration and large-scale pixel rejection to remove the satellite streak superhighway in my images. I have posted over on "Image Processing Challenges"  (https://pixinsight.com/forum/index.php?topic=13238.msg80235#msg80235) the info and a link to my data. Maybe some of you could please take a look and tell me what I can do?

Thanks,
Kerry

Hi All,

I have been working on a set of images trying to eliminate the satellite trail superhighway at the lower part of the images. I have used various combinations of settings per Vicent's topic (https://pixinsight.com/forum/index.php?topic=11067.msg68651#msg68651) using the ImageIntegration tool and large-scale pixel rejection, but many of the trails stubbornly refuse to be gone and I think I have gone through all the permutations of the Layers and Growth settings.

I would like to see if anyone has better luck with removing all the trails than I.

Here is a Dropbox link to the zipped images (calibrated and registered): https://www.dropbox.com/s/u0j33fyqq96272e/RegisteredImages.zip?dl=0

The images have a significant light pollution gradient in them, so this will need to be removed using the DynamicBackgroundExtraction tool to see all the trails.

Thanks,
Kerry
