Finally astronomic dark has returned here in southern Norway. I've started the season collecting photons for the LBN 588, LDN 1246 and LDN 1250 in cepheus. They are quite high in the sky and this area above the galactic plane offers lots of nice photographic opportunities from my location. I used TheSkyX with dithering for acquisition and guiding and Pixinsight for processing. I just love Drizzle!!
I'm going to have to fix the focuser on my Epsilon 180ed which is flexing from a fabrication error and re-collimate it but as this is a daunting task with an f/2,8 I'm putting it off until after this season. No signs this will be a walk in the park. Anyway. There are a couple of distant galaxies here as well that you can see if you follow the link to the larger version. I also found mice are back after last season's massacre but they don't show in the image fortunately. Will have to change batteries in my traps.

That's a lovely image, Ginge! The upside of the daunting recollimation is a very fast system.

Hey Rick, and thanks!
It sure is. Can't wait to get rid of all collimation and flexure woes, as if I will ever ;). Good to be back on the PI horse again though. Off season is too long up here.
Clear skies!

Thanks Jules, and likewise! Magnificent work with that Planewave, and kudos for lots of hours on each image! Makes for some impressive results. I'm very happy that you like my stuff. Not many images I admit, too busy on my daytime job and too many clouds... I've developed a thing for the dark dust after moving out of the city and setting up an observatory in the woods, so that is what I tend to go after.
Cheers!
