Program layout on win 10 laptop
« on: 2016 June 28 13:58:14 »
Hi!

I'm running PI on a new Thinkpad X1 with win 10, and am having problems with the GUI of the program. The screen is 2560 x 1440, and I have it currently on scaling to 125 %.

On install, everything was simply way too big. I found instructions to change the font DPI, to allow menus to be smaller, in Edit - Global Preferences - Core UI Resources. Right now, I have the font resolution at 54, and the fonts are small and nice, as I would like them (to have a lot of screen space).

But menus, icons, window frames - everything else is overscaled. See attached screenshop. Any suggestions on what to do?

Best,

Magnus

Hi!

Thanks. However, that was where I started. I'm playing with font size in the settings file, along with the font resoulution, and sure, I can make fonts very small. But still, borders, icons, everything else, are much too big, making this not very easy to work with. And a totally different experience as compared to my other installation (a desktop) in Ubuntu Linux.

Any ideas on how to get the same nice workspace as in Linux? Scaling icons and window borders proportionally to the fonts....?
