DBE Icon gives different results from open DBE Instance w/ same settings

I noticed I get different results when I re-use DBE settings by dragging a previously saved icon to the image I want the process applied to as compared to double-clicking the DBE icon and applying it to the same image. Is this expected behavior?  Here are two results. Does the DBE process need to be open and active to perform properly?

DBE process open and the green check box clicked to apply DBE to the image. Results are consistent with expectations.

i think this is normal and is related to why DBE does not work with ImageContainer. i think the icon has to be loaded into the GUI for DBE to work right.

That's what I'm wondering. I first noticed it when applying to an ImageContainer. I then ran it directly against one of the images by dropping the icon. It does *something* but I get a sense that maybe it doesn't apply the settings contained within the icon.

yeah - unfortunately for now you can only use ABE with ImageContainer. i believe that juan said he was working on a new version of DBE but it hase been a long time since i heard anything about it.
