Hello i updated to the new Vers.
(Uninstalles the old--then new)

i get this tiny window on startup
i use win 7 Proff. 64bit.
hope there is an solution;)

Not reproducible.

Did you reboot your computer after uninstalling the old version - before installing the new one? See FAQ 3.3. The reboot isn't normally necessary on Windows 8/8.1/10, but it is required in most Windows 7 installations.

unistalled it before .

now unistalled,reboot,new install(in an other directory for safty)..=same result
so no one else has this ?

Are you using a Dell computer, by chance? If yes, see this post for a probable solution.

I hate to say that I have no clue what can be causing this problem on your machine. AFAIK this has not been reported by other users, and we cannot reproduce it on any of our working/testing machines, on any platform. Can you try with a different machine?

so problem still there...why it is not possible..to leave older versions on the distribution server if something like this to occurs.
To use an Programm that i have paid.

i tryd different grafik settings...admin rights...no success is there an error log from pixinsight?

why it is not possible..to leave older versions on the distribution server if something like this to occurs.

Once a new version has proven stable and has no known and reproducible problems, we always remove all previous versions. We have very good reasons to follow this policy.

The problem you are reporting (crash and program exit upon startup) is extremely strange, and AFAIK has not been reported by other users. I'll see if we can do something about your request.
