Integrating calibrated flats question

I'm a newbie to PI, still trying to pin down the best parameters.  In integrating calibrated flats, in Pixel Rejection 1, should I check clip low and high ranges?  I've seen it suggested both ways.

If I do check them, are the defaults that come up the best, or should I look at optimizing them for my data?

I'm using a simple DSLR, if that matters -- Canon 7D Mk II, and camera lenses.  I'm getting very clean-looking flats, with mostly just the expected vignetting.  (I keep the sensor clean.)

The hi low clipping is only catching true outliers.  That is why you see settings of 0 and 0.98.  If your flats are clean and are not troubled by hot pixels you can probably leave off but this will clear any hot pixels that remain after calibration of your flats.  With those settings they are not going to hurt your flat, at most be irrelevant if you have no hot pixels left after calibration.

Good -- thanks Jim!  I imaging a lot of the settings I'm not sure about are not of huge importance, but I have no way to know that some might need more attention.  I'm still at the cookbooking stage.

One helpful technique is to hover the mouse ver the various lines in a tool.  Many times it will give you some really nice insight into what that setting does and how to get the most of out if.  I do that with any new tool I am trying out.
