Object Snap

Hello everyone!

Finally got my Orion Pro v2 back, and a new Ha (35nm) filter that I'll be playing with! Currently working on the Rosette, but I have a quick question...

I've searched the interwebz and the forums here (and the entire PixInsight.com site using Google) and can't find any reference documentation that explains how to turn off object snap! Is that something anyone is familiar with, or is that just not a feature of PI?

Reasoning: I'm trying to "perfectly align" to separate images that, for some reason, didn't line up perfectly using StarAlign with the same sub set as the reference image (the same data, just two different runs testing some different settings with cosmetic correction), but the images keep snapping to one another and it's kind of annoying, haha. I mean, sometimes that's ok - sometimes I might need that, but it would be nice to temporarily disable it. This may already be a built-in option, I just haven't looked hard enough!

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Sincerely,
-Duane

Try the DyanmicAlignment tool. You select the two images to align (in order, where the first is the one that you select reference points on) and they appear, sometimes correctly, on the second image. They can be manually moved, as appropriate, on the second image.
