Upgrade Question
« on: 2015 November 16 20:42:46 »
Hi, guess I should pay more attention but I have v 1.08.03.1123 Ripley (x64) and no longer get notices of automatic upgrades. How do I get back on the right path?
Thanks,
Jeff

Major revisions do not show up when you hit the updates tab.  You need to go back to where you first logged on to load PI the first time you did so (hopefully you kept the email which gave the link).  If you do so, you will get to the page with the latest versions of the program.  Just click on the version for your system (Windows, OSX or Linux) and follow the steps to update your system to the newest version.  You will need to do that with all major updates.

Btw, latest version is 1190 so you are quite a few behind in updates, though you only need to update using the 1190 version to bring you fully up to date.

Best,

Jim

Is 1190 now in full release or is it still listed as a "prerelease"?

Hi Jeff,

Normally, version 1.8.4.1190 should have been announced to all users through a massive email and an update notification message. However, since there are still a few problems with the OS X version, I have preferred to defer the official announcement until version 1.8.4.1192, due this week.
