integrated image bright red??
« on: 2015 September 15 02:11:02 »
Hi folks

A newbie question

Just calibrated, registered and integrated some images of M45 and the integrated image is bright red with the stars showing through when I stretch it. The image looks rather like a Mask image. Applying DBE produces a more normal image, albeit with a red tinge about it.

Images taken with a DSLR camera ISO 800 Exp 300s

Can someone explain what is going on, why the integrated image is so red?

Thanks

Alec

Thanks Alejandro

Much clearer now where all the red comes from. I thought it might be something to do with my processing. Pity the video's don't have audio, but you can't have everything.

Many thanks for your assistance.

Alec

Hi folks

I have posted again as a separate subject, having found some sort of problem with the flats which is causing the red images.

See subject "more trouble with flats"

Help would be appreciated

Thanks

Alec
