Clone tool bug ?
« on: 2015 August 23 07:21:57 »
Hi,

I noticed something wrong with the clone tool brush as it leave
a string of bright pixels as you drag it across an image.
A bug or some setting i should change ?
Win 10, 64 bits, 8Gb ram.
Thanks

Do you mean the line from the circle to the "x"? If so that's as designed. It indicated the "copy from-to" path.

Hi,

No, if you look closely at the attached image, you should notice a line of dots,
apparently left from the top right branch of the X as the tool is dragged on the image.
Version 1171 btw.

This is obviously a screen rendering bug. Interestingly enough, it doesn't happen on Linux, Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.

This bug is completely harmless; it just affects the screen rendition of the cloning source mark (based on your screenshot, as I cannot reproduce the problem). So just ignore it; I'll fix it in September. Thank you for reporting.

Hi Juan, if it helps I can reproduce it in Linux with CloneStamp and also with DynamicAlignment. My monitor is 1920x1080

Saludos, Alejandro.

Juan

I have it also with CloneStamp and DynamicAlignment. It seems to be somewhat directional. When I pulled the mouse from top right to bottom left it shows but I did not notice or just didn't see it going the other direction.
