This UnsharpMask bug has been confirmed and will be fixed in the next version. It has nothing to do with the corelibs update.

If you want to help me diagnose and fix these problems, please try the following:

1. Download the following zip file:

https://pixinsight.com/update-test/20150827-corelibs.zip

2. Uncompress it on any folder.

3. Copy all files extracted in step 2 to the following folder, replacing existing files and folders:

C:\Program Files\PixInsight\bin

You'll need administrative rights to do this. If you have installed on a nonstandard location, change "C:\Program Files\" as appropriate.

Let me know if this patch fixes all of these issues with version 1.8.4 on Windows.

Juan,

This fixed my problems on Windows 10 64 bit. I was getting the crash while doing the ABE. Now it's gone.

Thanks!

Its to avoid all these problems (and all other things Windows generally) that I just "upgraded" my PI system to Linux Mint

I'm experiencing this issue on boot-up of the latest version. I ran a memory test and got a clean bill of health. It's a Windows 10 machine and the error shows memory address of all zeros. Given how old the "patches" were earlier in this post I won't apply them. What can I do?
