loosing control on star core saturation
« on: 2015 June 30 15:33:10 »
Quite often I end up with star cores that loose their color , or that respond very little to saturation boost.

what are the critical steps/ trics to be considered /adopted to minimize this issue during the processing?

I usually take r, g, b , binning 1x1.

Many tahnks,
Andrea

What's the saturation level of the pixels?  It can be tough on faint nebulas to keep some stars from not saturating... But that could be what is happening...

you mean at the end of the processing or in the raw frame?
thank you

At the end of integration but before processing.  Hover over the stars and look at the readout levels for each color.  It could be they are a all saturated...
