Hi guys,

Sometimes from nothing, in the middle of a session, a modal window pops-up with a menssage of Access Violation and my work is done just because the computer gets locked.  What was saved fine, what was not saved went down to the drain, because will have to be done again.

A hard copy with the error's message as a jpg file, is attached for analysis.

Configuration of my computer:
Dell Latitude E6520
Windows 7 Ultimate 64x
RAM Memory:  8GB
Processor: Intel core i7-2720QM CPU @ 2.2GHz

Thank you,

Fernando

i would run memtest86 and prime95 on the machine to try to root out any DRAM memory problems.

I also regularly get this. At various times I will suddenly get 3-5 of these access violations (perhaps from different threads?). Things seem to work OK, but I get nervous and exit/restart the application.

Often, these violations are accompanied by a weirdness in the gui. If I drag an icon on the screen, a) it is offset from the mouse position an inch or two, and b) a second dragging icon image is also on the screen, offset several inches from the mouse position. As I drag the mouse, both icons drag.

This happens on three different machines:
1: observatory desktop running Win 7 64bit
2: Main processing desktop running Win 8.1
3: Travel laptop running Win 8.1.

Has anyone found a cause of this? If I save my project and restart PI, usually the problem is gone (but not always). I have been running 1.8.3, just recently (yesterday) updated to 1.8.04.1170.
