Sony Alpha 7s bayer pattern
« on: 2015 April 19 11:38:37 »
Dear all,

i am currently testing my new sony a7s for astro photography.
using the batchpreprocessing module I have to enter the correct bayer pattern which I believe is GBRG.
but during the batch process dcraw says RGGB...

do you know which would be the correct one?

I have to sets of data. one with iso 3200 and one with iso 6400 ... just for testing purpose.
Integration of the 6400iso set works fine.
integration of the 3200iso set gets a bad result (no flats and bias frames), as attached (the result looks really like this, it´s not jpeg artefacts).

anyone knows what might go wrong here?

Thanks alot
Claus

Claus,

I'm not sure but I use Sony Nex-5's and it RGGB. You could just shoot a regular daytime shoot and debayer that to see what is correct.

RGGB seems to be correct - just got confused by some posts in the internet referring to different bayer pattern for the sony exmor sensors... CS Claus
