Master Bias Color
« on: 2015 March 09 10:25:44 »
Hi, I've just created a master bias file after converting 100 CR2s to 32 bit fits. After image integration the resulting bias is kind of pink and if I apply STF it is red. I thought bias frames were black. Might anyone be able to tell me where I've gone wrong here? I used the following settings in Image integration:
Combination: Average
Normalization: No normalization
Weights: Don't care
Scale Estimator: Median Absolute Deviation
Pixel Rejection 1:
Winsorized Sigma Clipping
No Normalization
Checked all boxes
Pixel Rejection 2:
all default values except
Sigma Low: 4.0
Sigma High: 3.0
Thanks for any help you can offer!
Laurie

Hello

I would suggest you to not convert CR2 files to fits prior calibration.
Best is  to use the CR2 files diretly in calibration tool.

Note that you should use the CR2 files wihout debayering (use RAW CFA).
