error in batch preprocessing
« on: 2015 January 17 21:15:20 »
Hi all,
I have lights, (LRGB,HA) darks and bias frames
I am using the batch pp module
I have selected the files for each

I receive the error
cannot execute instance in the global context NO MASTER CALIBRATION FRAMES or overscan regions have been specified. However all the frames selected are showing in the boxes.

I don't get this error using just HA. But even when i only use red frames (without the others) the problem still occurs.

Fyu -this is the last statement in the process console - and it occurs right after the batch has made a master dark from 20 dark frames of 600secs
* Searching for a master dark frame with exposure time = 600s -- best match is a master dark frame of unknown exposure time.

can anyone point me in the right direction please.

cheers
Karen

Are you checking "use master xxx" when no master yet exists?

Make sure that your dark frames indeed are on the darks tab of the script. You can also click add custom, select the darks and specify that they are indeed darks and complete the other information. Sometimes the script needs add custom to understand what a file is if there is missing or conflicting information in the FITS header.
Best always, Warren
