New release 1.08.03.1123 won't install

I downloaded 1.08.03.1123 but it won't install on my desktop Win64 machine.  I get
"error opening file for writing
Program Files\PixInsight\bin\Annotation-pxm.dll
                                          AssistedColorCalibration-pxm.dll
                                          BMP-pxm.dll
                                          BackgroundModeling-pxm.dll"
until I aborted the installation.
Redownloading the same file, running it as administrator, and running it under an admin account all gave exactly the same result.
The bin file is marked 'read only' but so is the same file on my field Win64 laptop and this same release installed fine there.
Any ideas?  My desktop is where I need to work.

P.S. I went back and tried to reinstall the previous version that was installed and working fine (PI-windows-x86_64-01.08.03.1115-20141030-c) but now the installation of that version is giving me the identical error now as I got above.

P.S.S.  AFTER REBOOTING THE SYSTEM, THE INSTALLATION WORKED FINE.  Could not remove the post because it is first one in new topic but I think the moderator can remove it.

I had something like that happen once. Rebooting the computer fixed it.

On both of my systems I had to go into the Task Manager and stop Pix Insight even after uninstalling the program. Then the install worked fine.

Not to scare you, but this might indicate a virus infection. No process related to PixInsight should not be present in the Task Manager after you exit the PixInsight Core application.

Let's keep this post in place since it may help other people with similar issues. I'm going to add a FAQ to our website to describe this problem/solution.

By the way, we have never had this "reboot required" problem on any of our development machines, either physical or virtual, running both Windows 7 and 8.1.

Just tried to install the latest version of PixInsight on my laptop running W7.  Once again I had the same error messages as the OP and once again even the old versions of PixInsight threw up the same errors and would not install.  After a reboot, everything installed OK.

I just had the same problem again with the latest updates.  Had to reboot the Win64 system.
