« on: 2014 November 11 01:47:12 »
Hello Forum,

as always in november, there ist bad weather here in germany. Time to reprocess some images from a trip to namiba in 2011 with PixInsight. The sky in namibia was very very dark, so processing perfect data is fun.
I hope you enjoy it.

Data:

Optic: CA200, 200/1035 Newton
Corrector: TeleVue STL Paracorr
Filter: Baader 50mm LRGB
Camera: SBIG STL11000M C2 at -30°C, selfguiding
Exposures: L 11x8min (6x true L, 5x from RGB), RGB 32:32:32min, subexposure 8min,
6x Darks, 17x Flatdarks, 13x Skyflats
Location: Farm Tivoli, Namibia
Date: 2011-07-30

Processing:
Image Calibration, CosmeticCorrection, StarAlignment, Image Integration, ChannelCombination, BackgroundNeutralization
MaskedStretch, HistogramTransformation, RGBWorkingSpace, TGV-Denoise for RGB, L-RGB Combination, StarMask, MT, Unsharp Masking

Thank you Steve, good data is always easy to process. The only new thing, I used a heavy TGV Denoise to RGB to get better star color quality.

WOW, stunning image. So much details.
Hello Zocky, your flickr fotostream is amazing. Perseid observation is one of my favorite :-) Thomas
