... and produces just a white result image. I have not yet found out why exactly this does happen, but when it happens, it is repeatable.

1.8.3 STF also gives repeatable erroneous results after LinearFit against Drizzled images.  I'm not sure if it is me not knowing what I'm doing again.  :-[

Hi Georg,

I am unable to reproduce this problem on any platform. Can you upload one of these problematic images?

I am not sure I can. The effect is sporadic, and may be related to the image stored in a project. Maybe it gets the statistics wrong when retrieved from the project?
Is there any way to eeset the cached statistics?

Here is how to reproduce:
- From Vicents 2014 EPIC workshop, load LRGB/LRGB_NGC1808.xosm
- Remove all images except L.fit
-Clone L.fit
- Press Ctlr-A on both. This should produce the same result on both.
- Screenshot of result attached.
On one of my Windows systems, Ctrl-A produces a white result for the original, on the other Windows system I currently get a black one. The clone seems to produce a reasonable result.

Further study suggests the bug described in http://pixinsight.com/forum/index.php?topic=3130.0 has reappeared.  I will start a new report.

I don't have Vicent's projects, but I'll ask him as soon as he returns to Valencia. Still unable to reproduce this problem on any platform.

Hi Georg,

I get the white picture from any of the NGC 1808 grey images of the project, too, if I apply Auto STF. This only happens if the link channels buttons is activated (which actually makes no sense for grey images). If channels are unlinked, Auto STF behaves as usual. Some other attendants of the EPIC 2014 experienced that, too.

Hi,

Juan already has my project, it was a small problem storing properties of the images in the XOSM file. Seems that Juan know now how to fix it, so I think there will be an update in short time.

Best regards,
Vicent.
