BackgroundEnhance does nothing

I have tried the BackgroundEnhance script on both linear and nonlinear images.  It generates a 4 files--a LSView, an SSView, a MaskedView and a FinalView.  All of these are identical to the original image, no matter what I do to the sliders. I checked the fact that they were all identical by subtracting each of them from the original with PixelMath and then using the Statistics process to check that all pixel values were zero.

I ran the script on my Windows 7 system and it works. I use the script a lot. I reran the script without clicking on preview all 4 outputs were the original image like what you saw. Again that was without clicking on the preview button.
